PANCHKULA: Two women were attacked and robbed of their earrings while out for a walk at night in Panchkula, Punjab. Three unidentified men allegedly targeted the women, knocked them to the ground and forcibly pulled the earrings from their ears before fleeing the scene. The entire robbery was carried out in just 15 seconds. Police have released CCTV footage showing the suspects arriving, attacking the women and escaping within seconds.
The robbery has caused concern among local residents, particularly women and elderly people who go for walks in the morning and evening. Police are examining the CCTV footage to identify the suspects and are also checking the routes they used to escape. Officials are collecting footage from CCTV cameras in nearby areas to track the suspects' movements before and after the incident.
Investigators are also looking into whether the suspects had prior knowledge of the area and whether they had been watching or following the women before the attack. Local residents have demanded increased police patrolling during the morning and evening hours when more people usually go out for walks.
