Police register case against actor Vinayakan for insulting woman's modesty

ALAPPUZHA: Police have registered a case against actor Vinayakan following a complaint alleging that he insulted a woman's modesty. The case was registered by the Mavelikkara Police. The incident dates back to July last year. The complaint was filed by a native of Thazhakkara who is currently working in Mumbai.

According to the complaint, Vinayakan had shared a photograph of the complainant's minor daughter on Facebook. The complainant later approached the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights over the issue. During a sitting of the Child Rights Commission held in Alappuzha, the Commission directed the police to register a case. Acting on the Commission's direction, Mavelikkara Police registered a case against the actor.
