THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar MLA said the attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials and their vehicle in front of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's residence was "shameful." He said that the incident exposed the CPM's strong reluctance to face accountability.

“Attacking officials who are carrying out official duties and obstructing an investigation is not a political protest. It is an attack on the rule of law,” he said.

He also accused the Congress-led state government of remaining silent in order to protect the CPM.

“As usual, the Congress-led state government is staying silent to protect its political twin, the CPM. They are not two, but one. The people of Kerala have the right to know the truth. No leader, political party, or former Chief Minister is above the law," Rajeev Chandrasekhar added.

He further said the BJP-led NDA would ensure that justice is not derailed through threats, violence, or political pressure.
