Clashes during BJP's march to KPCC headquarters

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Clashes broke out during BJP's march to the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. The march was organised in protest against Congress leaders conducting a dharna in front of the Prime Minister's residence the other day in New Delhi.

The BJP march turned violent, to which the police responded with water cannons. The activists tried to pull down the barricades set up on the road. The BJP alleged that a police official slapped a woman activist who participated in the march. The march was inaugurated by BJP state president and MLA Rajeev Chandrasekhar. A large police contingent has been deployed at the site.
