KOCHI: The body of Aneesh Mohan, a geologist who died in a tunnel collapse at an accident in Sikkim, has reached Kerala. Aneesh of Pathazhakuzhi in Pampady, Kottayam, reached Kochi Saturday morning. The accident happened on Monday when a tunnel under construction for a hydroelectric project in Sikkim collapsed. His body was recovered on Thursday.
The body was transported to Kolkata by road Friday afternoon. The body was embalmed at the mobile unit arranged at the airport with the intervention of NORKA. The body reached Nedumbassery Airport in Kochi on an Air India flight Saturday morning at 7.30 am. The body was later taken home in an ambulance arranged by NORKA. He will be laid to rest Saturday afternoon.
