THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala University Syndicate has decided to suspend the Thiruvananthapuram Law Academy as an examination centre after finding lapses in the conduct of examinations. An expert inquiry will also be conducted based on CCTV footage.

The Syndicate has also decided to appoint a committee to examine the allegations surrounding the PhD thesis of DYFI state president Chintha Jerome. The decision follows a complaint submitted to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohanan Kunnummal by senior Syndicate member R.S. Sashikumar, alleging widespread errors in Jerome’s thesis.

The Syndicate also decided to begin the university’s 90th anniversary celebrations and confer PhD degrees on around 30 researchers.
