NEW DELHI: A complaint has been filed alleging that official documents have been stolen from the Law Office at Kerala House in Delhi. The complaint is against additional law secretary Grancy. Law Department deputy secretary Shanmuvathi has lodged a police complaint in the incident.

Grancy was transferred to Thiruvananthapuram last month. She was earlier in charge of the Law Office. According to the complaint filed with the Tilak Marg Police Station, Shanmuvathi alleged that Grancy took some documents from the Law Office when she was transferred. Police said that a preliminary inquiry into the complaint is underway.

Reports say that a dispute between two officials led to the complaint. There have been disputes between the two in the Law Office earlier as well. Grancy said the complaint is fabricated. The Law Office keeps documents related to cases involving Kerala that are being heard, including those before the Supreme Court. Therefore, the government is also likely to intervene in the matter.
