Driver killed, two injured after lorries collide and catch fire

PALAKKAD: One person was killed in a fire that broke out after two lorries collided near Kalladikode on the Palakkad-Kozhikode national highway. The victim is lorry driver Naseeruddin of Sreekrishnapuram.


A lorry carrying sawdust and a container lorry collided. The driver of the container lorry and a migrant worker are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire. The accident happened Thursday morning at 5.30 am.
