Five-year-old boy dies after falling into resort pool in Palakkad

PALAKKAD: A five-year-old boy died after falling into the swimming pool of a private resort in Kottayi. The boy has been identified as Rihan Ahamed, son of Binaf of Kodungalloor. The accident happened Wednesday evening at 4 pm. Rifan had come to the resort with his family.

He accidentally fell into the pool while playing with other children. He was fished out from the pool immediately and taken to a hospital nearby, but his life could not be saved. The Kottayi police have started an investigation after registering a case.
