THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Isolated heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds is expected to continue in the northern districts of Kerala today. The prevailing trough at sea level, stretching from the southern coast of Gujarat to the central coast of Kerala, is expected to intensify the rainfall.
A yellow alert has been issued for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts. Additionally, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along the Kerala, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep coasts.
