
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 45th death anniversary of Kerala Kaumudi founder-editor K. Sukumaran will be observed at the Kerala Kaumudi premises at Petta here tomorrow.
The programme will begin with a floral tribute at the editor’s memorial at 10 a.m. The memorial meeting, organised by the Kerala Kaumudi Non-Journalist Association, will be inaugurated by Health Minister K. Muraleedharan at 10.30 a.m.
Transport Minister C.P. John will be the chief guest, while former minister G.R. Anil will preside. V. Muraleedharan MLA will deliver the keynote address and C.K. Harindran MLA will offer felicitations.
Association president V. Balagopal will deliver the welcome address and general secretary K.S. Sabu will propose the vote of thanks.
The Editor Memorial Award, along with financial assistance from the management, will be presented to the child of a union member who secured the highest marks among students who passed the SSLC examination. Awards will also be presented to the children of Welfare Fund members who secured the highest marks in the Plus Two examination.
