IDUKKI: Senior CPM leader MM Mani heavily criticised the chief minister and the forest minister. The former minister of Kerala was speaking after inaugurating the protest organised by the Karshaka Sangham at the Nagarampara Range Office in Kanjikkuzhi, Idukki, alleging that the Revenue Land is being encroached upon by the Forest Department.
During his speech, Mani also openly threatened the forest department officials.
“If they are not polite, we will make life hell for the forest officials. Then we will have to take the law into our own hands. The officials should remember that they have a wife and children at home. Don’t dare to seize the land, saying that it was forest almost 150 years ago.
Minister Shibu Baby John's father had a reputation. It would be wise for him not to ruin that image. We would even dare to come to the secretariat to confront the chief minister.”
