Onam travel woes eased as special train announced from Bengaluru to Kannur

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Southern Railway has announced a special train from Bengaluru to Malabar, considering the heavy rush on trains during the Onam season. The special service to Kannur will operate on August 20 via Salem and Palakkad.

The train will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 10.45 pm on August 20 and reach Kannur at 12.50 pm the next day. A special return service to Bengaluru has also been announced. The train will depart Kannur at 4.10 pm on August 21 and reach Bengaluru at 6 am the following day. The special service is expected to provide relief to passengers travelling home from Bengaluru for Onam amid the seasonal rush.
