One killed after moving car catches fire in Venganoor, left home after domestic dispute

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person was killed after a car caught fire in Vengannoor. The incident happened Monday early morning. On being informed, the fire force arrived and doused the flames completely. The body has been completely gutted in the fire.

The dead has been identified as Titus Kurien of Thellakom at Ettumanoor in Kottayam. He is a former soldier. Reports say that he had a fall-out with his family. He left home on Sunday night and was proceeding towards Thiruvananthapuram in his car.

The accident happened near the Ayyankali Statue in Venganoor Junction. The car Renault KWID bearing registration number KL05 AV 3686 caught fire. The car caught fire in the middle of the road, and reversed and stopped beside a roadside wall. The vehicle was completely gutted in the fire, so its registration number was identified using the chassis number.
