Yellow alert in two districts tomorrow; Rain chances return in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department warned of the possibility of isolated heavy rains in the state for the next five days. A yellow alert has been issued in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts today. Kannur and Kasaragod districts are under yellow alert for tomorrow.

The possibility of isolated heavy rains is predicted. Heavy rain is defined as a situation where rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm is received in 24 hours.

27/07/2026: Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod

28/07/2026: Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod
