Several injured in collision of private buses in Kottarakkara

KOLLAM: Several passengers were injured in a collision between private buses. The accident occurred at Kallummoottil in Vendar Sunday afternoon. Society Bus proceeding to Kottarakkara and the Nirmala Bus going to Kayamkulam collided. The local residents said the accident was caused by the buses being over speeding.

27 people injured in the accident have been admitted to Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital. Some of the seriously injured have been shifted to the medical college and a private hospital. The driver of the society bus, Ajay Kumar, also sustained injuries in his hands. The Puthur police have registered a case in the incident.
