THRISSUR: Two people died after a tanker lorry went out of control and crashed into a tea shop at Chelakkode in Thrissur on Wednesday morning. The accident took place on the Plazhi-Vazhakkad State Highway around 8 a.m. The deceased were Shameer, 42, a resident of Kalleppadam in Pazhayannur, and Joseph, 53, from Mannarkkad in Palakkad.

Tea shop owner Sasidharan of Neithukulangara House escaped with minor injuries. The lorry, which was carrying Milma milk, reportedly lost control while negotiating a bend near Chelakkode Centre and crashed into the tea shop.
