PALAKKAD: A family, who went missing from Vaniyamkulam, has been found in Karnataka. The special investigating team from Shornur police found them from Chamarajanagar in Mysuru. They were staying in a rented house there.
Babu Bhaskar (68) of Panayur in Vaniyamkulam, his wife Remadevi (65) and son Vishnu (32) went missing on July 9. The investigating team had got the CCTV footages of the family reaching Chamarajanagar. They were found in the investigation conducted focusing on it. Babu Bhaskar’s eldest son Vaishak had also accompanied the police in Karnataka.
The Shornur Police registered a case and was investigating based on the complaint of his relatives. The family left Vaniyamkulam in their own pickup van. The vehicle was later found abandoned at Vazhikkadavu Churam in Malappuram. Their mobile phones were switched off. The police investigation focused on the vehicle's route and technical evidence.
