Woman found dead inside car parked near flat in Aluva

KOCHI: A woman was found dead inside a car parked near a flat in Aluva, Ernakulam, on Thursday. The body was found inside a Hyundai Santro that had been parked near a flat in Choornikkara for several days. The deceased has been identified as Anila Thomas, a resident of Aishwarya Nagar.

Children playing near the flat spotted the body inside the car around 5 pm and alerted local residents. The police reached the spot and conducted an inspection following the residents’ complaint. The body was found lying on the rear seat of the car. Police have made a preliminary assessment that the body may have been there for four to five days.

Local residents told the police that the car had been parked at the same spot for some time. The cause of death has not yet been established. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Forensic experts also visited the spot and conducted an examination.
