Youth dies after stacked electricity pole falls on him

KANNUR: A youth died in Taliparamba after an electricity pole that was stacked nearby fell on him. The dead is Ajeesh (36), son of P Chandran of Vadakkemoola in Kanjirangad and Koloth Madhavi.

The incident happened on Thursday night at 7.30 pm. Ajeesh, who was sitting there had asked his friend to come and pick him up. He was waiting for his friend and then the pole that had been stacked there by electricity department officials fell on his body.

His friend who came to pick him up saw the incident first. Ajeesh was then rushed to a hospital in Taliparamba and from there to Pariyaram Medical College, but his life could not be saved.
