Youth loses fingers as cracker explodes in hand while celebrating Argentina’s win

KOZHIKODE: A youth lost his fingers after a cracker exploded as part of celebrating Argentina’s win. Muhammed Sahad (22) of Kozhikode Chakkumkadavu sustained injuries. The cracker which was in his hand exploded accidentally. He has been admitted to a private hospital.

His two fingers of his left hand have been severed. He lost his little finger and ring finger completely and half of his middle finger. He had crackers on his left and right hands. While he was throwing the firecracker which was in his right hand, the firecracker in his left hand caught fire and exploded. He will be subjected to an emergency operation.

Argentina defeated Switzerland this morning by 3 goals to 1 and entered the semi-finals. Victory celebrations were held in many parts of Kerala afterwards.
