BENGALURU: A tragic accident claimed the life of a seven-year-old boy in Bengaluru after he came into contact with a live electric wire that had snapped during heavy downpours. The victim, identified as Sayeed Rahman, was attending a religious gathering when the incident occurred. According to sources, the overhead power line unexpectedly broke and fell onto the street while attendees were having a meal.

CCTV footage from the scene captures the harrowing moment the young boy tripped over the live wire and was violently thrown to the ground by the impact of the electric shock. Nearby witnesses rushed to his aid and managed to pull him away from the wire, but he succumbed to his injuries before medical help could save him.

Three other children accompanying the victim—identified as Imran, Jabi, and Sayeed—narrowly escaped the hazard without injury. Local police have registered a case and launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident to determine if negligence played a role in the fatal wire snap.
