NEW DELHI: Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has shared on social media a video of the party's protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Posting the video, Dipke wrote, 'They said cockroaches will never come on the ground...' The footage shows a large gathering of protesters carrying the Indian national flag and portraits of Dr B. R. Ambedkar. Dipke also warned that the agitation would be expanded nationwide if the Education Minister failed to resign by 5 p.m.

Dipke arrived in Delhi from the United States at around 8 a.m. on Saturday. According to him, police officials met him at the airport and subsequently granted permission for the protest. Several prominent activists, including Sonam Wangchuk, who gained national attention through the Gen Z movement in Ladakh, joined the demonstration at Jantar Mantar.

Ahead of his arrival in the capital, Dipke had urged party workers not to come to the airport to receive him. Instead, he asked supporters to assemble near the Parliament Street Police Station, close to Jantar Mantar, where the protest was held.
