D K Shivakumar sworn in chief minister of Karnataka; G Parameshwara is deputy CM

BENGALURU: D K Shivakumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath. Shivakumar was sworn in by raising the Constitution. Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah and other prominent figures, including chief ministers of various states and Congress leaders, attended the ceremony.


Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan and AICC spokesperson K C Venugopal also attended the function. Malayalees K J George and U T Khader will be ministers in Shivakumar's cabinet. 12 including the chief minister, was sworn in today. Shivakumar took office as the 25th chief minister of Karnataka.
