BALARAMAPURAM: Despite failing to pass the PSC exams, Arya VM did not give up. She aimed at civil service and came at 36th rank in the second attempt. The Balaramapuram native wrote PSC exams for the posts of LD Clerk, Secretariat Assistant, SI etc. She passed the SI exam but failed to crack the physical test. Even then, her attempt at the civil service exam continued.

Congratulations are pouring in for Arya, the only daughter of Neyyattinkara district hospital retired officer Venkateswaran Potti and Nemom UP school retired teacher Mini VR. She was educated at Aralumoodu Vivekananda Memorial School and Viswabharati School. She graduated in English from Vazhuthakkad Women's College and secured the first rank in PG from Pondicherry University. She was a teacher at KITS (Kerala Institute of Tours and Travels) and Kaimanam Polytechnic for Women. She did her civil service training at Fortune IAS Academy.

27-year-old Arya spent 8 hours a day studying for civil services. Arya attributed the achievement to expert training and homework from the teachers.
