Five ministers from Muslim League; Parakkal Abdulla to enter cabinet after two and half years

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Muslim League announced the list of ministers in the UDF government who will take oath tomorrow. The League will have five ministers in the upcoming cabinet. P.K. Kunhalikutty, P.K. Basheer, N. Shamsudeen, K.M. Shaji, and V.E. Abdul Gafoor are the League ministers who will assume office tomorrow.

Parakkal Abdulla will become a minister after two and a half years, as part of representing Kozhikode. The League leadership will only later decide which minister will be replaced for Parakkal to enter the cabinet.

Earlier, the leadership had decided to appoint two ministers from Malappuram district. According to this, there was an indication that either K.M. Shaji or P.K. Basheer would be in the ministry. However, after the discussions held today, both leaders were considered. Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal gave a list including both of them to Chief Minister-designate V.D. Satheesan. With this, there will be three League ministers from Malappuram district.
