KOCHI: Consumerfed is also getting ready for online sales. Medicines and non-subsidized goods will be delivered to homes through online marketings. It will start in Ernakulam district within three months. Soon, the online system will be launched in all 179 Triveni outlets in the state. The decision was taken considering the demands of the customers. The speciality of Consumerfed is that prices are up to 35% cheaper.
There is also a plan to deliver goods through online delivery applications like Amazon and Flipkart, apart from Consumerfed's own application. Liquor and subsidized goods will not be available. Kerafed coconut oil, Milma ghee, spices, puttu powder, notebooks, Triveni branded products, etc. will be available.
Medicines also available online
The medicines available at Consumerfed Neethi Medical stores will also be available online. Patients have to upload the doctor's prescription. Neethi Medical stores have an annual sales of Rs 500 crore. This will increase when online delivery starts.
"The process is in its final stages. It is hoped that the project will become a hit."
