Five soldiers killed as army truck catches fire in Jammu Kashmir; fire caused by lightning, say reports

SRINAGAR: In a shocking incident, five soldiers were killed after an army truck caught fire in Jammu and Kashmir. The army truck caught fire in the Poonch district. One person was seriously injured in the incident. According to sources, the truck of the Indian Army caught fire while travelling from Bhimber Gali to Sangiot in Poonch (J&K). It is reported that the truck was carrying kerosene to be delivered to the military unit.

The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. Heavy rain was reported in the area. Reports are claiming that the fire was caused by lightning that accompanied the rain. Army personnel and police have reached the spot.
