Pornhub blocks access in Utah in protest of age verification

NEW YORK: The US state of Utah has introduced a new law to keep children away from adult websites. The law states that the users who visit the adult website have to verify their age every time. The famous pornographic website ‘Pornhub’ decided to strongly react against this.

All those trying to watch Pornhub today in Utah were welcomed by a video message from porn star Cheri DeVille. She informed that Pornhub will not be available in the state until a proper solution to the problem is found. When introducing the bill on February 24, Senator Todd Weiler said the bill would also be in line with laws that prevent children from using alcohol and drugs.

The senator said that the law does not mean that an adult should not watch porn, but only needs to verify the age because it is a crime for children to watch porn and for adults to show it to them.
