NEW DELHI: Wrestlers with five new conditions in front of National Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, who is leading the struggle against former wrestling federation president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan, had a discussion with Thakur this morning. The discussion was held at the minister's residence.
The main demand of the wrestlers is that free and fair elections should be held and a woman should be appointed as the president of the wrestling federation. The players also demanded that Brij Bhushan or his family should not be part of the wrestling federation. The minister had tweeted last night that the government was ready to discuss the issues of wrestlers, and it was in this context that the meeting was held.
The players demanded that the case filed by the police in connection with the march held by the wrestlers during the inauguration of Parliament last month should be dropped and that Brij Bhushan should be arrested.
