After Rashmika and Katrina Kaif, Kajol's deepfake video stuns Bollywood

NEW DELHI: Days after the Indian cinema world was stunned by the deepfake videos of actress Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif, another fabricated video featuring renowned Bollywood actress Kajol has surfaced on the internet. The video has Kajol's face morphed into another woman's face. The video, which has already gone viral, shows the woman changing clothes in front of the camera. According to fact-checking platforms, the video originally featured an English social media influencer named Rosie Breen, who posted it in TikTok as part of the 'Get Ready With Me' trend.

The release of Kajol's deepfake video comes at a time when several celebrities expressed shock at the prevalence of deepfake videos on the internet. Both the general public and Bollywood celebrities are quite concerned about this. People, including Amitabh Bachchan, have come forward demanding action against those who are behind such videos. Recently, a 19-year-old was arrested in Bihar for publicizing the infamous deep fake video of actress Rashmika Mandanna. However, the police are yet to find the real masterminds behind such videos.
