Missing woman found dead in Anchuruli Waterfalls

KATTAPPANA: A woman, who went missing from Pampadumpara, was found dead in the Anchuruli waterfalls, which is a part of the Idukki dam. The deceased is Pampadumpara native Angel (24).

The woman went missing around 6 pm on Sunday. It was reported that the woman boarded a bus from Pampadumpara and reached Kattappana and then Anchuruli. Upon conducting an investigation, the family members and locals learnt that the woman reached Anchuruli in an autorickshaw. Following this, they contacted the police. During a search conducted by the Kattappana police, Angel's phone and bag were found near the Anchuruli water body. Later, the body was found in the water at around 11.30 pm.

The police registered a case of unnatural death and launched an investigation. Angel's marriage had been fixed with a police officer from Tamilnadu. Kattappana CI Suresh Kumar said that a detailed investigation will be conducted to find out if Angel committed suicide because of an issue related to her marriage.
