accident

BENGALURU: The roads in India used to witness a lot of accidents due to traffic congestion. However, with the introduction of flyovers, there has been a significant decrease in the number of accidents. Moreover, the flyovers play a major role in reducing the congestion at major junctions in cities. However, accidents on flyovers can be terrifying. A video showing the terrifying nature of an accident on a flyover came out the other day. The video is of a bus that met with an accident on a flyover in Bengaluru.

The video shows a bus hanging from a 40-foot-high flyover in Bengaluru. The video and pictures of the bus were shared on X by a user named Christian Mathew Philip. Several people have shared this video.

According to reports, the accident took place on May 18. The KSRTC (Karnataka) bus lost control and hit the divider at the Madanayakanahalli bridge near Nellamangala on the Tumkur road. Eight persons, including the driver and the conductor, sustained injuries. The impact left the bus hanging from the flyover for a while, with its front portion completely damaged. Fortunately, the bus did not fall as it hit the ramp of a nearby flyover.

Following the accident, the traffic on the flyover was disrupted for a long time. Several people alleged on social media that the driver’s carelessness led to the accident. ‘Some drivers in Bengaluru even watch films on their mobiles while driving the vehicle,’ a user wrote.
