'Show your guts, come and shoot me'; MLA Anvar responds to death threats from CPM workers

MALAPPURAM: MLA Anvar in his public address responded to the death slogans raised by CPM workers in Nilambur a few days back. The MLA said he would never denounce CPM and would fight the big battle to remain in Nilambur’s political landscape.

ANVAR:

“I am not ready to denounce CPM. I have some differences with the party leadership, but my voice will resonate with common workers of the party. All my battles are for the party and comrades. But, for fighting that I had to pay a huge price and had already made a lot of enemies within CPM.

I have heard about some party workers giving death threats to me that they will cut off my legs and hands. I would support their mission and will urge them to go ahead. I will continue to spill out more facts. Nobody will be able to stop me. If you want to silence Anvar, then come and shoot me. If you have guts, then come forward and do that.”

Meanwhile, a large crowd is participating in the political briefing meeting organized by PV Anwar at Nilambur Chanthakunnu. Apart from CPM workers, people from various political parties are in attendance.
