Former BSF jawan dragged naked, beaten; complaint filed against home nurse

PATHANAMTHITTA: Complaint alleging that a 59-year-old patient was brutally beaten by a home nurse. Former BSF jawan V Sasidharan Pillai, a native of Pathanamthitta, was brutally beaten. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Parumala. The family has filed a complaint with the Kodumon police against the home nurse named Vishnu in the incident.

Vishnu initially informed the relatives that Sasidharan had fallen and injured himself. The footage of the brutal beating emerged when the relatives became suspicious and checked the CCTV. The footage also showed the elderly man being dragged naked. Sasidharan Pillai had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for five years. Vishnu came to take care of him. The home nurse was hired through an agency in Adoor. Sasidharan Pillai's relatives live in Thiruvananthapuram. The police are investigating the incident.
