'Bharat is our mother'; Kerala University VC Mohanan Kunnummal attends RSS event again

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala University Vice Chancellor Mohanan Kunnummal once again participated in the program organised by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. This time, Mohanan Kunnummal participated in the Sankalp 2026 Yuva Sangamam organised by RSS at Manvila, Thiruvananthapuram. The vice-chancellor inaugurated the event and lit a lamp in front of the portrait of Bharat Mata.

The VC strongly criticised those who oppose the rendition of Vande Mataram.

“Those are people who do not value mothers. They are opposing Vande Mataram. We sing Vande Mataram because Bharat is our mother. Those who know the value of Amma (Mother) sing Vande Mataram.

The country is moving towards the dream of a developed India. It won't be long for us to regain past glory,” said Mohanan Kunnummal.

Supporting the central government's national education policy, he also pointed out the successful implementation of four-year degree courses at the University of Kerala. Around 150 students sang Vande Mataram during the program.
