‘Killed parents after God told me to; drove away demons and sent both to heaven’

IDUKKI: More information has emerged in the case of a drug-addicted son hacking his parents to death at Ezhukumvayal in Nedumkandam. Ajeesh (26) killed his parents Antony and Valsamma brutally last night. The police confirmed that the accused was highly addicted to drugs. The investigation by the Nedumkandam police has now revealed shocking details.

Ajeesh told police that he killed his parents because God had asked him to do so. ‘God told me to call them, so I killed both of them and sent them to heaven. I did this on the instructions of some unknown force.’ Ajeesh told the people who came there that he had driven away all the demons and sent his parents to God. The local residents said that Ajeesh regularly comes home drunk and enters into regular fights with his parents. He was admitted to a de-addiction centre for treatment about two months ago.

Antony’s mother was also at home at the time of the incident, but Ajeesh did not attack her. As she had hearing difficulties, Antony’s mother was unaware of the horrific murder that had taken place at home.

After consuming drugs, he had an argument with his parents before brutally attacking both with a knife he was carrying. After killing the two, he recorded videos of the bodies on his mobile phone and sent them to a relative. The relative then forwarded the footages to the parish priest and immediately informed the local residents and the police.
Police later brought the accused to the house to collect evidence.
