KOCHI: Actor and Congress candidate in the last assembly elections, Dharmajan Bolgatty, said that the Congress party is giving seats based on religion and caste. He said that it is not a good situation and that only capable people should be made candidates. Dharmajan also asked why they are giving seats based on Christian, Muslim, Harijan and Brahmin.

"LDF is not like that. They do not field Christians in Christian constituencies. They will field people from any other sect. As a Congress supporter, I will not say that it is a victory for LDF. However, they will pay attention to it. I do not like some things in Congress. I will openly express the things that I do not like. Congress will win if Congress members stop fighting among themselves," said Dharmajan.
