'Monthly payment case political vendetta, witnessed many such attempts', says Pinarayi Vijayan

ALAPPUZHA: Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan said the monthly payment case was a well-planned move to create a dent in the Left Democratic Front. Pinarayi made these remarks while inaugurating the Alappuzha district committee meeting. He added that the actions taken against him and his daughter amount to a political vendetta.

Pinarayi Vijayan:

"The Exalogic case is a move against the LDF. The 'monthly payment' case was filed against Veena with the underlying intent of targeting her father rather than her. They do not realise how many such instances I have witnessed. The contract in question was signed before Veena's marriage. Such is the state of affairs in our country.

The Congress has joined hands with the BJP in a move targeting me. We will strongly resist any politically motivated manoeuvres.”

On Election Commission:

“The Election Commission has lost its credibility; it is facing scrutiny on an unprecedented scale. The new details surfacing do not reflect well on democracy. The Chief Election Commissioner is turning his personal whims into decisions.

Unilateral stances are being adopted, and it is certain that protests will intensify. The census procedures pose a threat to privacy. Kerala was a distinct state; we had policies that offered an alternative to the Centre's policies. However, now the Centre is implementing RSS policies with the assistance of the new government.”
