Man murders mother, buries body in courtyard

KOLLAM: A man murdered his mother and buried her body in the courtyard of his house in Kollam. The dead has been identified as Savithri Amma of Chemma Mukku in Neethi Nagar. The Kollam East Police has arrested her son Sunil.

Suspected co-accused Kuttan, Sunil’s friend is absconding. In a probe conducted by the police on the missing complaint of Savithri Amma’s daughter, the mystery was unravelled.

Savithri Amma was found missing on September 5. Following that, the complaint was lodged on September 12. Her daughter told media that Sunil used to constantly harass her for the document of the house to pledge for an amount of Rs 2.5 lakh.

Sunil confessed to the crime while questioning him in another murder case.
