'Precise': Lijo Jose Pellissery on Jamia shooting

KOCHI: Lijo Jose Pellissery is one of the most decorated directors in the current crop of directors from the Malayalam industry. Apart from being a notable filmmaker, Lijo has always tried to express his views on the political scenario in the nation. A youth fired a gun at the protest in Jamia Millia University in Delhi on Thursday as people from all parts of the society expressed their opinions on the incident. Director Lijo Jose Pelissery also had a word on the incident. He shared the picture of the youth along with the painting of a gunned-down Mahatma Gandhi and captioned it 'precise'.

In the firing at Jamia on Thursday, a Jammu and Kashmir native Shadab Najar was injured. Shadab is a Mass Communication student at Jamia Millia. The students were staging a match towards Rajghat on the 72nd death anniversary of the Mahatma when a person showed up with a gun. The police have nabbed a person in connection with the incident.

Earlier, Lijo Jose Pellissery had praised Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan's statement that CAA won't be implemented in Kerala.
