THALASSERY: A bomb was hurled at the library led by CPM leadership in Thalassery soon after the congress offices were attacked as a revenge towards the double murder in Venjaramoodu. The bomb was hurled at the Azheekodan Memorial in Chonad last night.

According to police, two men in a bike hurled the bomb. A detailed probe on the incident has started. An investigation focused on the CCTV footages of the surrounding area has also begun. More than twenty congress offices were attacked in Kannur yesterday. Police are investigating whether the violence was in retaliation of it.

Apart from Kannur, violence was unleashed in various parts of Thiruvalla Niranam. The congress mandalam committee office was vandalised. Flagpoles of both parties have been extensively damaged.
