Charred body found in Varkala Papanasham

VARKALA: A charred body was found in a plot belonging to a private individual in Varkala. The body was found in the land behind Ottuppura Resort near Varkala Helipad Tuesday morning. The charred body was noticed when the locals found fire in the garbage. They immediately informed the police.

The police said the body is that a 60-year-old man. The initial conclusion of the police is that the body is of the resort owner who committed suicide. A suicide note was found on a scooter found near the body. The Varkala police have started an investigation into the incident. The body has been shifted to Varkala Government Hospital for post-mortem.
