Adoption controversy: Court to consider govt's petition today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vanchiyoor family court will consider the petition filed by the government in connection with the adoption of the child without the consent of the mother. The government had informed the court that the child's mother was alive and that the police investigation into the adoption procedure was underway.

The government had submitted the petition seeking to annul the adoption procedures until the completion of the investigation. If the government's petition is accepted by the court, action will be taken to bring the child back from the adoptive parents. This will be followed by steps, including DNA testing.
