Ten dead after consuming spurious liquor in two districts in Bihar; 14 persons in critical condition

PATNA: 10 persons have died and several others fell ill after consuming spurious liquor in West Champaran and Goplaganj districts in Bihar. The condition of 14 people, who are undergoing treatment, is said to be critical.

Six people were killed in West Champaran and four in Gopalganj today. The death toll has risen to 15 since Tuesday. The police said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the 10 men died after consuming a certain poisonous substance. The post-mortem will determine the exact cause of death. It is learnt that the health of 10 persons deteriorated after they consumed the liquor. Police have arrested 4 persons in connection with the incident.
