Bacardi launches Indian made whiskey named 'Legacy'

NEW DELHI: Global brewing company 'Bacardi' has launched a locally made whiskey. The company has launched an Indian-made whiskey named 'Legacy' in the market today. Bacardi has informed that 'Legacy' made with Indian grains will be available only in the states of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana in the first phase. As sales progress, the 'Legacy' will be available in other states as well.

'Legacy' is Bacardi's first product in the Indian-made whiskey segment. Bacardi's Indian head said they are optimistic about this 'Made in India whisky' initiative in the nation, which is the number one whiskey consumer in the global liquor market. He said that there is a huge market potential for Indian-made whiskeys and clarified that the new product is part of many innovations in the products. The company also said that it is trying to deliver new products at the national level. Bacardi also launched a brandy called 'Goodman' earlier this year.
