CHENNAI: Chennai Super Kings registered their first win of the IPL season after three consecutive losses, defeating Delhi Capitals by 23 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Batting first, Chennai scored a massive 212/6 in 20 overs, powered by a brilliant unbeaten century from Malayali batter Sanju Samson. He scored an unbeaten 115 runs off 56 balls, including 15 fours and 4 sixes.

Youngster Ayush Mhatre supported him well with 59 runs off 36 balls, as the duo added 113 runs for the second wicket. Ruturaj Gaikwad (15) and Shivam Dube (20) also contributed.

Chasing 213, Delhi got off to a strong start with KL Rahul (18) and Pathum Nissanka (45), but Chennai bowlers pulled things back with regular wickets. Delhi were eventually restricted to 189 runs, handing them their second straight defeat. CSK's Jamie Overton delivered an outstanding spell with the ball, taking 4 wickets while giving away just 18 runs.
