15-year-old boy's internal organs explode; cruel 'prank' using high-pressure air hose takes life of Muhammed Kendirci

ISTANBUL: A violent and cruel prank by colleagues took the life of a 15-year-old boy. The boy died when a high-pressure air compressor hose was inserted into his backside. He died after spending five days in the hospital in critical condition. The incident sparked a huge protest.

The incident took place on November 14 at a wood workshop in Bozova district of Şanlıurfa Province, Turkey. The victim, Muhammed Kendirci, was working as an apprentice there. Kendirci was threatened by his colleague Habip Aksoy and another unknown person. Under the guise of a joke, Kendirci's hands were tied, and his pants were forcibly removed. The suspect then inserted a high-pressure air compressor hose into his bum.

The insertion of the hose caused a devastating internal explosion. The impact severely damaged the intestines and multiple internal organs. Emergency services rushed Kendirci to Bozova Mehmet Enver Yildirim State Hospital before transferring him to Balikligol State Hospital. He was later moved again to Harran University Research and Application Hospital, where medics confirmed severe internal organ damage.

The police have taken Aksoy into custody and launched an investigation. Local media reported that police said they are continuing to search for the second suspect in the incident.
