IndiGo carrying 229 passengers makes emergency landing due to engine failure

NEW DELHI: The IndiGo flight bound to Delhi from Goa made an emergency landing following an engine failure. The flight 6E2102, took off from Goa Tuesday morning at around 9:16 am. An engine malfunction was detected on the aircraft within minutes.

The flight carrying 229 passengers, was safely landed at Goa’s Manohar International Airport. An emergency was declared at the Goa airport, and necessary arrangements were made to facilitate the aircraft’s return.

The flight was scheduled to land in Delhi at 11:45 am, but it returned to Goa and landed at around 9:50 am.
