HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy asked BJP not to waste time employing the Bengal tactics that ousted Mamata Banerjee in Telangana. Reddy mocked BJP president Nitin Nabin's statement that BJP will form a government in Telangana in the 2028 assembly elections.
Revanth Reddy said that BJP's tactics will never succeed in Telangana and assured that Congress is ready to wipe out the BJP existence from the state. The Telangana Chief Minister took a dig at the BJP at a public event held in Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy's criticism came shortly after Nitin Nabin's statement that the BJP will form the next government in the state.
"Recently, someone came here, his name is Nabi or something like that. I don't know his name exactly. But he came here and said that the next government will be formed by BJP. They had said the same thing in Bengal, too. It took them 15 years to come to power in Bengal. Their tactics worked because it was Mamata Banerjee in the opposite side. It won't work here. Our workers are ready to crush you," said Revanth Reddy.
Nitin Nabin had criticised the Congress government for failing to fulfil its election promises. His response was during his three-day visit to Telangana. Nabin also announced that the BJP will launch a statewide protest against the ruling party. Nitin Nabin asked BJP workers to convey this message of the BJP to villages across Telangana. He was calling on the workers to work tirelessly for a Congress-mukt Telangana.
